Alliance Vision

VisionStage is an image acquisition software package which integrates a set of simplified functions for image capture.
- A new functional graphical interface for optimizing each step of the digitization process
- Designed for image sequence management and for importing and exporting AVI files
- Supports several framegrabber (see the complete list at the bottom of this page).
- The ideal complementary acquisition software to National Instruments Vision Assistant

- PC Pentium 350 MHz with 64MB RAM minimum
- Display adaptater providing true colors
- Hard disc 1GB
- Screen 1024 x 768
- Operating system: Windows 95/98, NT 4.0, 2000, XP.

Applications:
VisionStage is the ideal image and sequence acquisition tool for both industrial and scientific environments. It supports several acquisition modes (single shot, continuous, timelapse, triggered, ...), external image analysis & processing plugins, and all kinds of framegrabbers and cameras.

Support of IEEE-1394 DCAM digital cameras.

Functions

Frame grabber configuration: gain, contrast, signal type, trigger and shutter, digitization mode (frame or field)…
Choice of the trigger (keyboard or on board trigger).
Dynamic "live image" visualization.
Acquisition of simple images or complete sequences

Preview of acquired sequence to cancel parts of it before writing
In sequence acquisition mode: Time Code generation and support.

Saving of acquisition parameters and comments

With VisionStage, a sequence can be composed of several rushs, each of them being defined by the following parameters:

Delay: number of frames/field between each image shot
Number of images to acquire
Interval: number of frames/field between each image shot

Image acquisition

Image type : 8-bit monochrome, 16-bit monochrome, and color RGB.
Supported image files :
*.tif, *.bmp, *.png, *.avi, *.sqc, *.apd
Starting the acquisition on an external TTL trigger event, or on a manual event.
Bayer image demosaicing and white balance correction.
Format 7 mode with IEEE-1394 cameras (Partial scan).

Image browser

Visualization of the set of acquired, opened or created images
Documentation of the images in a text file corresponding to each image
Specific contextual menus.
Multiple selection modes.

Image sequence acquisition

Acquisition in RAM memory.
Acquisition on disk in timelapse mode (very long sequences at low or medium framerates).
Acquisition on disk in stream mode (writes sequences on disk as fast as possible).
Acquisition of several successive image sequences or rushs, with different settings.
Acquire from only one, or up to three cameras simultaneously (with multichannel framegrabbers).
Integration of a sequence in a single image.
Starting the acquisition on an external TTL trigger.

Sequence browser

Visualization of the set of acquired, opened or created sequences
Documentation of the sequence in a text file corresponding to each sequence
Specific contextual menus

Visualization of the video source.
