About
the driver:
The
“DirectX driver for LabVIEW” is a software tool for interfacing DirectX
/ WDM compatible devices, with the National Instruments LabVIEW environment.
This software will allow you to build LabVIEW applications based on DirectX
/ WDM compatible devices (USB or IEEE-1394 webcams). |

The "DirectX
capture driver for LabVIEW" features
the following functionnalities :
- Enumerate the available devices.
- Enumerate ths available video formats.
- Modify the current video format programmatically
or with a property page
- Modfiy the device settings programmatically
or with a property page.
- Acquire images from a DirectX compatible
device, into an IMAQ image or a LabVIEW 2D array.
- Display a camcorder video stream into
a floating window.
- Save a camcorder video stream into an
AVI file (up to 30 frames/second).

Hardware
Requirements:
- USB port, or IEEE-1394 OHCI board (depending
of the device).
- IBM PC or compatible computer with Pentium
III class or later processor.

Software
Requirements:
- Microsoft DirectX version 9.0
runtime (supplied).
- Microsoft Windows NT 2000/XP Operating
system.
- National Instruments LabVIEW 7.0 or
later.
- National Instruments Vision Development
Module 7.0 or later, OR National Instruments NI-IMAQ 3.0 or later.
